Sunday Morning Prayer Group
Every Sunday at 10:30 a.m., the church prayer team convenes in Pastor Bill’s office for a time of prayer devoted to our church community. This includes praying for our pastors, staff, elders, deacons, teachers, school, commissions, volunteers, church members, visitors and all other ministries that would benefit from the power and support of prayer. We welcome anyone who would care to join us and become part of our most rewarding effort with either silent or spoken prayers.Saturday Prayer Group
Every 1st and 3rd Saturday morning from 8:30 - 10:30 am, we meet in Fireside Lounge to be in prayer for specific and general prayer requests. This group is open to all people who feel called to be in intercessory prayer. For more information, or if you have a prayer request, please contact Cindi Treloar at (818) 895-2186 or loonyma@socal.rr.com.Healing & Prayer Ministry Group
The Healing and Prayer Ministry at First Pres. is designed to support our congregation and community by meeting the call of Jesus Christ to pray for those in need and to faithfully ask God to be at work. This ministry is available, and intended for, those who are at cross-roads, in the midst of storms, test, or trials and who wish to engage their own healing and prayer journey with the support of our team. Our Prayer Team is made up of people who believe in the power of prayer. We are lay people of the First Presbyterian Church who are called to the ministry of prayer.
If you are in need of healing prayer, our prayer teams are available every Sunday morning after both the 9:00 and 11:00 am worship services at the back of the sanctuary by the privacy screen. Please note that all prayer requests are kept confidential.
The Healing Prayer Team also prays for those for prayer requests received on Sunday mornings from the yellow prayer request cards in the pew racks.
The Healing and Prayer Team meets on the third and fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. At each meeting we share a meal and fellowship, respond to congregational needs for healing and prayer, study the Word, and plan and respond to needs from within our church and community.
For more information about the Healing and Prayer Ministry, contact Pastor Karen Ohlson at (818) 360-1831 or karen@fpcgh.org.
