First-Time Visitors - Becoming A Member

God calls Christians to be in fellowship with one another, to have a place to worship, grow and serve. Becoming a member of First Pres. is a wonderful way to do that! Our members make a commitment to serve the Lord here, and are rewarded with an active and vibrant church community to call home.

Members can serve on ministry teams or serve as elders and deacons. We strive to obey God’s commandment by giving our time, talent and treasure for the glory of Christ and his kingdom.

Outline of Membership Process

All who love God and profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are invited to become members of First Pres. after attending a series of new member classes. Classes are typically held three times per year (usually in spring, summer and fall) and are taught by a pastor. The series consists of 3 to 4 hours of class time, usually spread over several Sunday mornings or weekday evenings. The classes are informal, and a great way to learn more about this congregation, what we believe, and the people who already call this church home!
